I’ve seen it many times. That deer-in-the-headlights look when I tell my clients that they’ll need to schedule a physical exam involving a weight scale, urine test and/or blood test. It comes with the territory for most life insurance policies, and is typically scheduled within a week or so of your life insurance enrollment application.

What to do? Here are some less conventional exam preparation tactics for your amusement:

If you’re healthy, you shouldn’t have any worries.  Just don’t hit up Hardee’s and opt for the Monster Thickburger covered with bacon and onions, loaded with a side of cholesterol.  Your best bet is to fast for 8 or even 12 hours if you can swing it, consuming only water during that time.  Of course, if you have any questions, feel free to ask.  BTW, the exam doesn’t cost you anything, even if you don’t purchase the policy.  Well, except for a few drops of blood and urine.  And, you get the results sent to you.
