Have you been slacking on the return of your library books, DVDs, or CDs, and now you’ve got fines to pay? Well, now is your chance to get caught up! Donate food for West Suburban Community Pantry’s “Soup-er Sunday” food drive, and the Downers Grove Public Library will reduce your late fees. One item equals $1.00 off your fines.
Bring non-perishable items such as chunky soup, peanut butter, tuna, and canned meat to the Circulation Desk January 25 – February 1 to participate. The West Suburban Community Pantry http://www.wcpinc.org/ serves 300 Downers Grove households, a total of 885 people.
The library is happy to partner with the Pantry in order to help eradicate hunger in our community and appreciates the generous library customers willing to do the same. If you are a library customer with no fines (Wow, great work!) you are still invited to donate to the Soup-er Sunday food drive. All donations can be brought to the Circulation Desk. If you have questions about the program, you may contact Melissa Doornbos at 630-960-1200 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks to the Downers Grove Public Library for the information and sponsoring a great program!
